    Key Club
    Academy of Our Lady’s Key Club attended their annual convention in Natchez, Mississippi on April 4, 5 and 6. As a club, they won the distinguished key club award, second place in the scrapbook contest, first place in the video making contest for the Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee District. While there, junior Amber Verdin was pinned as Lt. Governor for the Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee District and Moderator Mrs. Judi Zimmerman won District Convention Key Club Kiwanian Advisor of the Year. Senior Victoria Parria won one of the District Kiwanis club Leadership Scholarships and freshman Olivia St. Germain, the key club president, won the outstanding freshman award for the Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee District.     April Pep Rally
    The final pep rally of the 2018-19 school year was held April 11. All spring athletic teams as well as the robotics team were honored by their peers. Senior athletes were also recognized for their dedicated to the Academy of Our Lady athletic program. Perhaps the most exciting portion of the pep rally was the unveiling of the bowling team’s 2019 State Championship banner and the softball team’s 2019 district championship banner.     State Rally
    Senior Thanh Vo placed second in Physics and junior Emily Mailhos placed first in Sociology in division three at the 2019 Louisiana State Rally at Louisiana State University on April 6. State Rally is an academic competition which includes more than 80 events. Students take part in ten district rallies throughout the state with more than 5,000 district winners advancing to the State Rally. Congratulations ladies!
