Friday, December 10 Academy of Our Lady’s Social Studies and Languages departments are excited to host an evening filled with Christmas cheer for girls in 4th-6th grade. Activities include an escape room, Christmas caroling in foreign languages, and much more! Attire should be modest and girls are encouraged to wear Christmas sweaters. Cost to attend is $5.00. Registration and payment must be submitted online by Wednesday, December 8. Space is limited. Registration taken on a first come, first served basis. Alumna Ashanti Bailey, ABHS ’06, has been nominated as part of the 2021 Excellence in Journalism Awards by Press Club of New Orleans. Ashanti’s nominations entail Best New Website and Best Social Media Campaign. You can currently find Ashanti as on-air talent on FOX8 NOLA Weekend. She is also a digital content producer for FOX 8. Congratulations Ashanti!

A number of incoming pre-freshmen and freshmen have been on campus the month of June for Academy of Our Lady’s Summer Enrichment Program.Students also had the opportunity to get ahead by taking the required Computer Technology course over the summer. On the second to last day of the program, the new Penguins were able to have a little fun on the Summer Camp waterslide followed by pizza for lunch. Girls ages 8-13 have taken over Penguin Park June 14-17 for Softball Camp hosted by Academy of Our Lady’s Softball coaching staff and team members. Players are working on enhancing fielding fundamentals and batting techniques. The goal is for attendees to have a great time while learning something new.
