    Sr. Chantal Visit
    Sr. Chantal Mukase, FMA, a member of Mother General’s council, visited Academy of Our Lady on April 8-10. The Salesian Sisters are based in Rome where the Superior General and councilors reside. Mother General sends a member of her council to visit every house and school on her behalf within a six-year period. Salesian Sisters are present in 89 countries and five continents. Sr. Chantal begin her visit with a meet and greet with the faculty and staff on the morning of April 8. Following the meet and greet, a school assembly was held in her honor. While on campus Sr. Chantal had the opportunity to meet students, board members, the administration and parents. She also attended the Spring Arts Festival on April 10 followed by a dinner held in the faculty lounge. Click on the title of this post for more.

    Sophomore Megan O'Brien and junior Ellie Green spent the day at the Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, on February 16, attending a teen workshop directed by Dr. Lenny DeLorenzo, a professor at the University of Notre Dame. He shared skills from his book Witness: Learning to Tell the Stories of Grace that Illumine Our Lives. He also encouraged students to formulate and tell their own faith stories.
